Project One
I am long-overdue in attending to a cataract in my left eye. It is now a severe hindrance to daily life and my ability to do my work. I am more frequently tripping (occasionally falling) on stairs, etc. Writing, drawing ...all hand-eye co-ordination is very challenging. My current insurance situation does not provide for cataract surgery. I have already had a complete diagnostic check at the Wright Eye Clinic here in the Colorado Springs (recommended by friends who have used their services and considered one of the best in the nation.) The examining physician said mine was one of the more advanced cases he’d seen in some time. It is my fault for letting it go this far. The out-patient surgery, plus exam for my “good eye” (right eye) and new glasses will be approximately $3500.
Project Two
I want to green light preparation for the launch of the much-requested electronic version of my book, HATCH! We need to act soon to have “eHATCH!” ready for Christmas ...sooner. I am budgeting $1000 for this project—it is likely to be less than that for set up and production. HATCH! is a challenging eBook to be certain that all art and cartoons are positioned correctly for the current array of eReader formats: iPad, to Kindle, Nook, and more.
All extra funds (not used for surgery or eBook set up) will be applied to set up and production of “Book No.2” (not the title) in my creativity series—HATCH! was the inaugural volume. I am writing and designing that second book daily. (Idea files on the rest of the creativity series grow thicker by the week. I'm getting great ideas from reader reviews on Amazon: HERE.)
