This inspires me!
Mel Brooks turned 81 a few weeks ago (26 June 2007). He launched his newest project in Seattle, Tuesday, 7 August 2007. Someday I will tell you the story of working with "call me Mel" while I was at Walt Disney Imagineering. Meanwhile, click on tiny image below to see what inspires me, today, about my friend Mel . . . and then click on the link to their website in the next paragraph.
Mel Brooks is at it again, on the heals (and toes) of his huge Broadway hit, The Producers comes Young Frankenstein - The Musical. Opening its pre-Broadway tryout in Seattle, Tuesday, 7 August '7. It opens in NYC later this Autumn (11.8.7.) (If you go see it, let me know--take me along!) Read more in the Seattle Times here.
"Puttinin' on the Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitz"
What one , image, word, tune, fragrance, flavor or person you bumped into inspired you in the last 24 hours?
McNair
I am also inspired, these past few days, by the shrinking number of boxes of McStuff in my new studio/loft creating more room to spread out and make art--with words, pictures and another project I have been waiting years to begin. (I will be combining words, original art, and dimensional objects to illustrate the "stories", all in one piece of art.) More on all that soon. Watch this space...actually it will be a space above this space as this space is taken with these words. There will be homework.
I went back to work today and I saw the elementary Art Teacher from last year came back. All she does with the kids is have them color- and color HER way... it drives me crazy!!! I am once again inspired to push ahead and see what I need to do - to take her place when she does FINALLY retire!!! haaa haaa! (evil laugh!)

read an illustration today that talked about the wonders of "small ball". Homers don't always win championships but consistent production in baseball does. Small things done well and over time, make a difference. I can do that.

I'm eagerly awaiting Young Frankenstein the musical open on Broadway. Nothing beats some good Mel Brooks humor (well, perhaps only a good McNair story).
